UCSF Geriatrics Faculty Mentored MS2s Win First Prize at the Regional SGIM Meeting at Stanford University
Second year medical students, Andrew Yousef, Elaine Hsiang and Talia Mahony's poster presentation at the Regional SGIM meeting at Stanford University received a First Prize for the Clinical Innovation category. Their Clinical Microsystem Curriculum (CMC) System Improvement project titled “Reducing Infectious Outbreak in Veterans Affairs Skilled Nursing Facility” was conducted at the Community Living Center of San Francisco VA Medical Center under the guidance of Judith Rosen and Michi Yukawa, MD, MPH. Andrew, Elaine and Talia’s CMC coach is Kathryn Eubank, MD and Daphne Lo, MD, MAEd is the CMC site director at the SFVAMC. The director of the CMC System Improvement is Edgar Pierluissi, MD and CMC director is Anna Chang, MD.
