  Louise Aronson, MD completed the Academy of Medical Educators membership continuation review for 2012
Jul 18, 2012 Congratulations to Louise Aronson, MD, MFA (Associate Professor of Medicine) for her successful completion of the Academy of Medical Educators membership continuation review for 2012. The review reflects Louise’s sustained excellence in medical education and strong participation in Academy programs and activities. The Academy consists of faculty who are reviewed and elected by their peers as the leading teachers and educators at UCSF. The Division of Geriatrics is one of the few Divisions to have three of its faculty elected to the Academy – Louise, Anna Chang, and Mike Harper. Congratulations, Louise!

  Carla Perissinotto’s recent paper, “Loneliness in Older Persons,” has gone viral!
Jul 20, 2012 Carla’s paper has received coverage by The New York Times, TIME magazine, BBC World News,CBS News, NPR News, Bloomberg News, WebMD and the San Francisco Chronicle, with international coverage in Spain, China, Germany, Italy, Vietnam, Romania, Brazil, Hungary, Norway and Canada. Leland Kim of UCSF’s Public Information service wrote that Carla’s paper is “the most impactful story I’ve ever been a part of, continuing to generate media attention weeks after the paper’s release.”
