  Dr. Larry Feigenbaum passed away
Feb 11, 2013 We are all saddened by the death of Dr. Larry Feigenbaum, an incredible pioneer in the field of geriatric medicine. Dr. Feigenbaum established the first Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in the western U.S. in 1978 at UCSF. He leaves an incredible legacy, influencing the education and training of hundreds of UCSF students, residents, and fellows, many of whom went on to become leaders in geriatrics.   Louise Aronson's Op-Ed in NY Times
Feb 11, 2013 Louise Aronson, MD, published an Op-Ed in the New York Times Sunday Review on February 3rd which reached number 5 on the Times’ most emailed list. The article, “Weighing the End of Life,” used the story of her elderly dog’s last year to explore the complex issues both animals and humans face at the ends of their lives.
 


  Lynn and Rebecca testified to California Congress!
Feb 21, 2013 Drs. Lynn Flint and Rebecca Sudore testified February 19th to California Congress and the Aging and Long Term Care Committee in Sacramento on the importance of palliative care, advance care planning (PREPARE ), and legislature to support these endeavors.
