John Newman and Robin Feldman, Professor of Law at UC Hastings, published an article in the Stanford Technology Law Review entitled "Copyright at the Bedside: Should We Stop the Spread?" The article argues that cognitive tests like the Mini Mental Status Exam should not fall under copyright protection, and encourages courts to address this question before copyright becomes entrenched at the bedside.
