UCSF Center for Geriatric Care

UCGC

Formerly known as the Lakeside Senior Medical Center, the UCSF Center for Geriatric Care offers patients personalized care from doctors who specialize in caring for older adults.

Our Goal

The UCSF Center for Geriatric Care offers personalized care from doctors who specialize in the needs and concerns of older adults. Our nurses and social workers are also trained in supporting the health of seniors.

The center provides podiatry, psychiatry, psychology, and laboratory services on-site. Physical therapy and imaging services are available nearby. Our patients also have access to many other UCSF specialists and health professionals.

We provide a range of care for older adults, including:

  • Primary care for adults age 85 or older living in San Francisco
  • Primary care for adults ages 75 to 84 living in San Francisco and depending on others for help with basic daily activities
  • Primary care for adults ages 65 to 74 living in San Francisco and diagnosed with dementia
  • Consultative visits to support ongoing care for adults age 65 or older who have a primary care provider at UCSF
