2026 Claire D. Brindis Award Recipient- Brie Williams, MD, MS

Brie Williams, MD, MS receives the 2026 Claire D. Brindis Award for Community Engagement and Service in Health Policy Research.  Brie is a close colleague of the Geriatrics Division and directs several programs that have demonstrated the health needs of incarcerated older adults, shaped compassionate release policies and introduced international reform models in the U.S. to reduce the use of solitary confinement. This includes her leadership of the Aging Research in Criminal Justice Health (ARCH) Network.  Brie will receive this award at the UCSF Health Services Research Symposium on May 13, 2026.
