Ashwin Kotwal Advances National Dialogue on Loneliness, Featured in Upcoming PBS Documentary Screening

Ashwin Kotwal, MD, MS recently contributed to several national and regional forums focused on addressing loneliness and social isolation among older adults.

Dr. Kotwal presented at the Duke Division of Geriatrics Grand Rounds on the role of clinicians in addressing loneliness and social isolation. He also spoke at the VA VISN23 Mental Health Summit, where he highlighted approaches to addressing these challenges among older Veterans.

Looking ahead, Dr. Kotwal will be featured in the upcoming KQED screening of the PBS documentary “Wired for Connection,” which includes his and Carla Perissinotto, MD, MHS’s research as key material. Following the screening, Drs. Kotwal and Perissinotto will participate in a panel discussion.
