Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week – Always Active Program

This week’s “Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the week” to be featured is Always Active Program.

The Always Active program sits at On Lok 30th Street Senior Center in San Francisco. This program offers older adults and adults with disabilities the opportunity to take multi-component exercise classes that focus on mobility, muscle strengthening, balance, and flexibility. A popular course, Tai Chi for Fall Prevention and Arthritis, is a 12-week program proven to be effective in reducing risk of falls and injury, improving fitness levels, and empowering seniors to take control of personal health through lifestyle changes and maintain independence.
