Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week – The Castro Senior Center
This week’s Geri Community Resource is: The Castro Senior Center.
The Castro Senior Center, operated by Golden Gate Senior Services, has been serving San Francisco seniors and adults with disabilities in the Castro neighborhood for over 30 years. The center offers a variety of programs aimed at promoting independence, socialization, health, and overall well-being. These include daily exercise programs, art and music activities, a computer lab, and a meal program that provides nutritious lunches every weekday between 11:45 and 12:30 at no cost. Additionally, the center fosters a sense of friendship, community, and belonging among its participants.
