Congratulations to Drs. James Harrison and Anil Makam for their Career Development Awards

This month, James Harrison, PhD and Anil Makam, MD, MAS were highlighted for their achievements in the UCSF Research News from David Erle and Diane Havlir-- September 2021 Edition!

James Harrison, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at UCSF Health, and our 2021-2022 Pepper PESC Scholar, was named the inaugural Research Director of UCSF’s Age Friendly Health System. James also received a K01 from the National Institute on Aging for a project entitled, "Placing patient preferences at the center of care plans for older adults transitioning from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility."

Anil Makam, MD, MAS, Assistant Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at ZSFG, and our 2019-2020 Pepper PESC Scholar Alumni, received a K23 from the National Institute on Aging for a project entitled, "Post-acute care in the elderly: the role of long-term acute care hospitals."
