Congratulations to Haley Shiff, Julene Johnson, PhD, and Theresa Allison, MD, PhD, on their newly published paper in Innovation in Aging: "Refinement of a piano improvisation training intervention to reduce cognitive inactivity among older adults with and without mild cognitive impairments". 

The paper, with Haley Shiff, a former M-STAR student, explores the development of a piano improvisation training program designed to encourage cognitive engagement in older adults, including those with mild cognitive impairment. The study is an important step toward future research on music-based approaches to support healthy brain aging.
