Donaghue Foundation Funds Study on Hospice Care for People with Dementia

Dr. Harrison and colleagues received a Donaghue Foundation award to examine "Hospice Visit Patterns for People with Dementia in Assisted Living and Nursing Homes". A joint venture with colleagues at Mount Sinai, their 2-year project will use Medicare claims data from 2022-2024 for 100% of the Medicare population to examine how hospice visit patterns impact resident outcomes and vary by hospice agency characteristics. UCSF team members include Lauren Hunt, John Boscardin, and Siqi Gan.
