Dr. Thiago Junqueira Avelino da Silva Receives Pilot Award

Congratulations to Thiago Junqueira Avelino da Silva, MD, PhD, Postdoctoral Scholar in the UCSF Division of Geriatrics, on receiving pilot funding from the UCSF Center for Aging in Diverse Communities (CADC) for the 2026–2027 funding cycle.

Dr. Junqueira Avelino da Silva's funded pilot study, "Development and Validation of Fair EHR-Based Prognostic Models for Delirium in Hospitalized Older Adults." The project aligns with CADC's mission to understand and reduce health disparities affecting older adults while developing interventions that promote optimal health for all.
