Tasce Bongiovanni, MD, MPP, Siqi Gan, PhD, Emily Finlayson, MD, James D Harrison, PhD, John Boscardin, PhD, and Michael Steinman, MD presented work on gabapentin and opiod prescribing in older adults at the AGS Annual Meeting. Gabapentin prescribing varied by racial and ethnic groups; however, the absolute variation found may not be clinically significant. Variation in opioid prescribing by race and ethnicity continues to persist.
