Gina Lima Promoted to Associate Director of the Caregivers As Partners in Care Teams Program

Please join us in congratulating Gina Lima on her well-deserved promotion to Associate Director of the Caregivers As Partners in Care Teams (CAP-CT) Program. Gina has been an integral part of the CAP-CT Program as its Program Manager, where she has played a pivotal role in implementing this impactful initiative. The CAP-CT Program, a DHHS-funded cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living, aims to realize the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers by creating a national educational program, “Caregivers As Partners in Care Teams.” This program focuses on teaching healthcare teams how to assess caregivers and incorporate them into care, leveraging collaboration across multiple UCSF departments and institutions to achieve a national scope.

Gina’s exceptional leadership and ability to manage complex, multi-institutional collaborations have been instrumental in reaching healthcare teams and caregivers across the nation. In her new role, Gina will continue to build on this success, guiding the program’s strategic vision and overseeing critical priorities such as expanding national caregiver education initiatives and developing innovative strategies to integrate caregivers into healthcare teams. Throughout her career at UCSF, Gina has demonstrated a remarkable ability to deliver results, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement. As Associate Director, she will lead efforts to refine program operations, oversee data collection and reporting, and develop policies that support the CAP-CT program’s mission to advance the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. Her proven expertise, coupled with her deep commitment to improving the lives of caregivers and patients, positions her to make an even greater impact in this expanded leadership role.
