Hunt and Dzeng Present at NIH/NIA Changing Ownership of Healthcare Grantee Meeting

Lauren Hunt, PhD, RN, FNP, and Elizabeth Dzeng, PhD, MD, MPH presented at the Changing Ownership of Healthcare Grantee Meeting, hosted by the National Institute on Aging’s Division of Behavioral and Social Research on September 1–2. Dr. Hunt presented “The Evolution of Hospice in the United States: Changing Ownership, Changing Markets.” Dr. Dzeng presented “How the Financialization of Academic Medical Centers Might Shape Goal-Concordant Serious Illness Care.” Their presentations contributed to discussions examining how changing ownership structures and financial trends across the U.S. healthcare system may affect the organization, delivery, and quality of care.
