Kana McKee Led Palliative Care Communication Workshop

On October 15th, Dr. Kana McKee led the Palliative Care Communication Workshop for the 2019 Hospitalist Mini-College, a 3-day pre-course to the UCSF Management of the Hospitalized Patient CME course. Together with colleagues from Geriatrics and the Division of Palliative Medicine (Drs. Lynn Flint, Brook Calton, Steve Pantilat, Anne Kelly, and Naomi Saks), the interactive workshop taught communication skills for goals of care discussions using a combination of didactics, role-play demonstrations by faculty, and small group role-play practice facilitated by our expert faculty for the audience of 32 practicing hospitalists.
