Michi Yukawa, MD's UCSF medical students' QI work to reduce fall rates at the Community Living Center of the San Francisco VA Medical center (CLC) was selected as an oral presentation during the 2021 Annual meeting of the American Geriatric Society this spring. Kevin Donohue, Jeremy Gottlieb, Billy Nguyen, Kasey Han, Feyisayo Ojute and Deborah Yip are CMC students in Michi Yukawa's group. Their project was presented to the UCSF School of Medicine Deans this past November.  Their interventions, which were collaborated with the CLC interprofessional teams, were able to reduce the rate of falls among the Veterans by 40%.
