Spotlight on Paula Sison: Geriatrics Team Cheers Her On in Cuckoo Edible Magic

Our very own Paula Sison shines in SFBATCO’s Cuckoo Edible Magic, and our division had the privilege of attending on Thursday, 3/6, to cheer her on! Paula stole every scene she was in—she made us laugh, she made us cry, and we simply couldn’t take our eyes off her performance.

Her talent hasn’t gone unnoticed! The San Francisco Chronicle praised her in their review, "S.F. play about ‘dumbasses’ saving the world is flawed, but playwright shows promise":

"Yet, some performers transcend. Paula Vercudia as Mai’s tough mom has such ace comic timing and soul-deep understanding of character you find your eyes gravitating toward her in scene after scene just for the pleasure of seeing what she comes up with next — the silent rosary prayer in the car ride, the secret look of confusion and revulsion she sends her child."

There are only a few shows left—don’t miss your chance to catch her in action!
