UCSF Division of Geriatrics Featured in Emmy-Winning PBS Documentary

The UCSF Division of Geriatrics is featured prominently in the 1-hour documentary called "Aging in America: Survive or Thrive" and last weekend the documentary won a Los Angeles Area Emmy in the category of Social Issues. The film aired on PBS across the country in May 2026. UCSF is featured about 20 minutes into the documentary, including Tamika Bailey when she was a fellow in our Care at Home Program, our colleagues in the UCSF Age-Friendly Emergency Department as well as Louise Walter, MD , and Chris Cassel, MD, providing commentary.
