UCSF Division of Geriatrics Recognized as #1 Geriatrics Program in the U.S.
The UCSF Division of Geriatrics is recognized as the No. 1 Geriatrics program in the nation for 2026-2027 according to U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings. We moved from No. 2 to No. 1 this year. U.S. News rankings reflect many measures of quality, including clinical outcomes, patient experience, reputation among peers, and the ability to deliver exceptional care.
UCSF Geriatrics achieved the largest increase in reputation among the nation's top five geriatrics programs—a reflection of the growing recognition of our contributions to clinical care, research, education, and innovation. This recognition reflects the dedication of everyone across our Division—including our faculty, staff, trainees and our many partners and collaborators who work every day to improve the health and well-being of older adults.
Congratulations to our entire UCSF Geriatrics community on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for making this world a better place to age!
