UCSF Geriatrics Community Gathers for a Joyful Annual Welcome Picnic

This past Saturday, we had a wonderful time at our Annual Division Welcome Picnic hosted at Dr. Alex Smith’s home in Mill Valley! The event was filled with joy and camaraderie, as Louise delighted everyone by playing the piano during a lively jam session, joined by Alex, his wife and sons on guitar and Theresa on flute. The nostalgic music brought people together, with many singing along and sharing in the fun. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the delicious food added to this warm welcome for our newest faculty, fellows and staff. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to take a pause, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. Special thanks go to Mary Tran for her exceptional coordination of the event and to our amazing cleanup volunteers—Michi, Landon, and Melody—as well as everyone else who helped ensure everything ran smoothly.
