Welcome Dr. Lingsheng Li!

This week we are excited to welcome Dr. Lingsheng Li to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty starting on September 1, 2025.

Dr. Li completed her BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology and MHS in Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University.  She completed her MD from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and her Integrated Geriatrics and Palliative Care fellowship at UCSF.  She completed our UCSF T32 Aging Research Fellowship in June 2025 and will be joining our research faculty with her clinical work focused at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living Post-Acute Care Unit.  Dr. Li is triple-boarded in Internal Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and her research incorporates innovative methods such as visual storytelling and illustrations to facilitate communication and more deeply convey the lived experiences of patients and caregivers facing serious illness.  She is active in the medical humanities using narrative writing and visual art to explore themes such as caregiving, grief and resilience.  She also created the Geriatrics Division sticker and cookbook.
