Welcome Dr. Stacy Han!
This week we are excited to welcome Dr. Stacy Han to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty starting on August 1, 2024. Dr. Han completed her MD at UCSF and her Internal Medicine Residency with a Primary Care Pathway at the University of California, San Diego. In June she completed her Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at UCSF and received the Geriatrics Fellow of the Year award from the UCSF Internal Medicine residents for her outstanding resident teaching and collaboration. She is joining our clinician educator faculty and enjoys working in both outpatient and inpatient settings of care. She will be an attending physician in the UCSF Care at Home Program and the UCSF Inpatient Geriatrics Services at Parnassus. Dr. Han is passionate about improving the care of diverse, underserved communities and will be training clinicians in the San Francisco Health Network and other underserved settings about Geriatrics and measuring outcomes of these trainings. She also will be working on enhancing UCSF medical student Geriatrics education, assisting with teaching, course direction, scheduling and exams for the Life Stages block for second-year medical students. This represents coming full circle for Dr. Han as she decided to pursue a career in Geriatrics after participating in the Life Stages block when she was a second-year UCSF medical student. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Stacy Han to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty!
