Welcome Jasmine Kang, MPH (ASCENT Program Coordinator)!

Please join us in welcoming Jasmine Kang, MPH to her new role as ASCENT Program Coordinator!

Jasmine started her new role this morning and will continue to support Dr. Alex Smith’s research study, which focuses on advancing palliative care research.  She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of San Francisco (USF) and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). We’re excited to have her on board!

In her most recent role as Research Assistant III at UCSF/NCIRE, Jasmine managed study protocols, coordinated data collection, ensured project timelines stayed on track, and facilitated team communications. She is highly skilled in MS Office, REDCap, and other project management tools. On top of that, she’s already contributed to three publications! We’re so proud of her professional growth and excited to see all she’ll achieve.

In her new role as ASCENT Program Coordinator, Jasmine will collaborate with Dr. Alex Smith to drive program operations, meet milestones, and deliver key outcomes. She brings a wealth of technical, organizational, and communication skills, backed by her bachelor’s and master’s degree in public health with a focus on project management. Her experience as a Research Assistant III further enhances her ability to elevate program quality. A big thank you to Landon Haller for graciously stepping up as Jasmine’s onboarding buddy—thank you, Landon! Jasmine will be based at the Mission Bay Office and tentatively assigned to cubicle 8118 (behind Caroline Ziesmer). Jasmine can be reached at [email protected] if you want to congratulate her!
