Welcome Renee Zhang!
Please join us in welcoming Renee Zhang, our new Student Intern, to the Division of Geriatrics!
Renee is a fourth-year MD student at the University of California, San Francisco, currently learning qualitative methods as part of her Deep Explore project. She will be working with Dr. Theresa Allison on a study examining the impact of music on well-being following a new dementia diagnosis. Renee will engage in data collection, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, offering her valuable hands-on experience in an extensive mixed-methods research study. The project will have real-world implications and be relevant to many different academic audiences. She will present the findings as part of her UCSF Medical School graduation presentation.
Renee is currently a Research Assistant at UCSF Pediatrics, collaborating with Dr. Anoushka Sinha on the “Inter-Residency Narrative Medicine Curriculum and Resident Perspectives” study. She previously served as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington’s Department of Developmental Biology, working with Dr. Olivia Bermingham-McDonogh on “Developmental Cell Study Focusing on Cell Types in Mouse Cristae Ampullaris”. Renee brings a wealth of clinical and teaching experience to our Division, and we are thrilled to have her on board! She can be reached at [email protected] if you wish to connect with her.
