Welcome Steven Yim!
Please join us in welcoming Steven Yim, Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to the Division of Geriatrics!
Steven started this morning and will be supporting Dr. Stephanie Rogers on a pilot study focused on Computer Vision Monitoring of Patients at-risk for Delirium funded by LookDeep Health, an Oakland-based company that applies deep learning and computer vision to fundamentally transform the capabilities and cost of telemedicine. Steven earned his Bachelor of Science degree from UC Santa Cruz in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and brings a variety of experience to his new role! Some of that experience include: working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Lee Lab in the Biology Department at UCSC, volunteering for the Suicide Prevention Services as a Suicide Crisis Line Volunteer, working at UC Davis through their Emergency Medicine Research Associate Program (EMRAP), as well as working as a Contract Assistant at Jack Yim Construction Company. Steven also previously worked as a Technology Educator for the SF Public Library, where he taught technology usage to disabled individuals and senior citizens, and was a Volunteer for the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Program until recently. In his new role, Steven will be responsible for coordinating equipment, patient enrollment, staff support, and data entry and management for the LookDeep pilot study. We are super excited to have him onboard to support the study and bring his wealth of experience and enthusiasm! Steven will be working closely with Dr. Rogers and Qiao, who will serve as his Onboarding Buddy, to ensure study success. He can be reached at [email protected] and for those who are working onsite at Parnassus, you might run into him as well! Please join us to welcome Steven to the team!!
