Welcome Susan Runyan to faculty!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Susan Runyan to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty!

Dr. Runyan officially started her new Staff Physician position today at the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS), as well as her concurrent UCSF faculty position.  Dr. Runyan completed her Geriatric Medicine Fellowship with us in June 2022, a master’s degree in Public Health at UC Berkeley School of Public Health, a medical degree at UCSF, a Family Medicine Residency at University of Washington School of Medicine, and a Rural Family Medicine Fellowship at Tacoma Family Medicine Residency Program.  Dr. Runyan is an outstanding physician who brings a 20-year background in primary care medicine.  Today, she is joining our clinician educator faculty and will work as a Staff Physician at the SFVAHCS.  She will serve as an attending for SFVAHCS Community Living Center (CLC), working to provide medical care to a panel of patients as well as participate in on-call coverage for the SFVAHCS CLC.  She will also be supervising Geriatrics and Geriatrics Palliative Care fellows, medical residents, and medical students who rotate through the SFVAHCS CLC.  We are very delighted to have Dr. Runyan onboard.  Please join us in welcoming her to the Division!
