Job Summary

The UCSF Division of Geriatrics seeks to recruit a part-time Research Programs Coordinator to support research studies focused on improving the quality of care for older adults.  This position reports to the Research Programs Specialist and will work closely with Division Principal Investigators, Researchers and Division Leadership to support a wide-range of research operational duties.  The Research Programs Coordinator will primarily support two major National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded Program Grants and their peripheral research initiatives, as well as the needs of other Division researchers, as needed.  The Research Programs Coordinator will perform a broad range of duties that will require analytical, organizational, communication, technical, and coordination skills. 
 
Specific duties include: coordinating and managing project timelines and deliverables, researching and applying relevant policies, data collection, management, analyses and reporting, preparing and updating study protocols/procedures, coordinating meeting schedules/agendas/minutes, drafting and updating research documents, making program-related purchases and submitting expense reports, conducting literature searches/reviews, supporting manuscript preparation, as well as supporting other research-related tasks such as website maintenance, gathering contents for Twitter, as well as circulating newsletters and managing other output platforms for research dissemination.  This position requires the ability to be proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of flexibility.  An ideal candidate will be able to work 
interpedently with minimal supervision, balances multiple competing priorities at any given time, and is intellectually curious, willing to learn new skills and a problem-solver.

Please note: This is a 80% (variable) one year contract position starting from the date of hire.
