In response to a number of distressing calls from community hospitals about confusion over the rights of incarcerated patients to make their own medical decisions and to appoint surrogate decision makers, Leah Rorvig MD, MS, Rebecca Sudore, MD and Brie Williams MD, MS developed refresher guidance on Advance Care Planning resources for incarcerated patients
