Alveena Thomas and Janice Schwartz Publish Paper in JACC Advances

Alveena Thomas, BS, Janice Schwartz, MD, and colleagues published a new paper entitled, "Apixaban Concentrations in Routine Clinical Care of Older Adults with Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation" in JACC Advances. Their research reported very high apixaban concentrations in older women that increase risk for bleeding—and low concentrations with reduced dosing of apixaban. Their research warranted an accompanying Editorial by Michael Rich, MD entitled:  "Apixaban Monitoring: The Jury Is Still Out".
