Anoop Sheshadri Receives KL2 Scholar Award

Dr. Anoop Sheshadri, mentored by Drs. Rebecca Sudore, Jennifer Lai, and Deborah Adey, have been chosen by the CTSI KL2 Selection Committee to receive a KL2 Scholar award for his Structured Program of exercise for Recipients of Kidney Transplant to adapt an 8-week, home-based program of exercise for prehabilitation among older dialysis patients awaiting living donor kidney transplant with a focus on incorporating caregiver participation to improve engagement in the intervention. Dr. Sheshadri will then pilot the adapted intervention in this population as compared to usual care and assess outcomes (including physical function and quality of life) both after the intervention and after transplantation.
