Bay Area Older Adult Community Resource of the Week – The Memory Cafe

This week’s Geri Community Resource is: The Memory Cafe.

The Memory Cafe hosts social gatherings for those 60+ and older with mild to moderate memory loss, facilitated by staff from Catholic Charities Aging Support Services. They meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the Maple Room at the Burlingame Parks & Recreation Center. This welcoming space is designed for individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other memory challenges. Activities vary each month and may include art, music, photo sharing, movement/exercise, holiday celebrations, and games.

To assist with preparations, participants are encouraged to RSVP by calling the Burlingame Recreation Center at 650-558-7300.
