Congratulations to our graduating T32 fellows!
Congratulations to our graduating T32 fellows: Jasmine Santoyo-Olsson, DrPH, MS, Angela Suen, MD, and Lingsheng Li, MD, MHS!
Dr. Santoyo-Olsson has been a part of our T32 program since 2023. Jasmine was previously a research analyst at UCSF, before completing her masters degree at Brown University and PhD at Berkeley. Jasmine is passionate about serving the needs of older adults from diverse linguistic or cultural backgrounds, particularly people with dementia and their caregivers, and will continue this line of research in the coming years. We’re delighted that Jasmine will join us on faculty in the Division of Geriatrics next year!
Dr. Suen joined our T32 program 2 years ago after completing her pulmonary and critical care fellowship. Angela is moving on to her clinician-researcher faculty role next year at the San Francsico General Hospital and Chinese Hospital where she will attend on the inpatient and outpatient services. Her research will focus on the geriatrics and palliative care needs of older adults with COPD and ILD, particularly those who require supplemental oxygen. Congratulations Angela!
Dr. Li completed her geriatrics and palliative care fellowship at UCSF before joining our T32 fellowship in 2023. Since then she has excelled in thinking through the needs of older adults in the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community, particularly their advance care planning needs. She has found ways to translate her research to the communities she serves through partnership with community organizations and her art. We are thrilled that she will joining our division on faculty next year! Congratulations Lingsheng!
