Drs. Rennels, Barnes, Shi, Sudore, Aiesha Volow, and Brookelle Li publish paper in JAGS

Carolyn Rennels, MD, Deborah E. Barnes, PhD, Aiesha Volow, MPH,  Ying Shi, PhD, Brookelle Li, and Rebecca Sudore, MD published a paper in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, titled “PREPARE for Your Care and easy-to-read advance directives increase real-time goal concordant care”. The paper demonstrated that the PREPARE program and suite of materials, focused on quality of life and preparation for decision making rather than life sustaining treatment, resulted in increase goal concordant care. Patient-reported, real-time GCC may be more appropriate than retrospective measures.
