Drs. Schwartz and Slattum Publish Commentary in JAGS

Drs. Janice Schwartz and Patty Slattum published a Commentary "A challenge: The American Geriatric Society needs to address the lack of inclusion of older adults in new drug evaluation" in JAGS as a follow-up to an FDA Workshop that they Co-Chaired in late March 2021 on developing a Roadmap to New Drug Evaluations in Older Adults.   The Commentary laments the lack of involvement of AGS members and geriatricians and geriatric health care professionals on FDA committees that are responsible for decisions on marketing approval of new drugs in the U.S. and urges that we step up to the challenge and participate.
