Former MSTAR Student Smirithi Sukumar Receives 2019 American Geriatrics Society Clinical Student Research Award
Smrithi Sukumar, 2nd year UCSF medical student and former MSTAR student who mentored under Dr. Janice Schwartz, has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 American Geriatrics Society Clinical Student Research Award. This award is presented to undergraduate students who submitted the most outstanding student abstract for the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting. This award will be presented during the 2019 AGS Annual Meeting Award Ceremony on Friday, May 3rd between 7:30 and 8:15 AM.
Smirithi's poster has also been selected for the Presidential poster session for her and Dr. Schwartz's work entitled: "Apixaban concentrations in elderly NVAF patients: is less enough?" with Canadian coauthors: M Gulilat, B Linton, S Gryn, G Dresser, J Alfonsi, U. Schwartz and Richard Kim of the Schlich School of Medicine and Dentistry.
