Janice Schwartz, MD Leads Special Section on Drug Evaluation in Older Adults for September 2024 Journal of the American Geriatrics Society

Janice Schwartz, MD was a Guest Editor for a special section on Drug Evaluation in Older Adults in the September 2024 issue of the Journal of the American Geriatric Society that includes invited contributions from the NIA, the FDA, the NASEM, the EMA, the EuGMS and international colleagues from Great Britain and IUPHAR, and nursing home researchers (the cover artwork) to describe activities in their areas. She introduced the section in an Editorial entitled: A paradigm shift in evaluation of new medications for older adults—a mandate has arrived, and wrote a state of the art review entitled: Current status of inclusion of older groups in evaluations of new medications: Gaps and implementation needs to fill them.
