Janice Schwartz publish an analysis in JAMA Network Open
Janice Schwartz, MD, FDA colleagues, and Patty Slattum, PharmD, PhD published an analysis of representation of older adults during the past decade of enrollment in clinical trials of new drug approvals and found that adults over ages 75 and especially over age 80 were not enrolled in proportion to their prevalence in clinical populations with atrial fibrillation, diabetes, cancer, insomnia, heart failure and osteoporosis.
