Janice Schwartz, MD with former research coordinator Maureen Barrientos and UCSF colleagues Drs. Mark Pletcher and Alicia Fernandez and UCLA colleagues have published the results of a survey on why patients refused to fill a statin prescription in an article entitled "Primary Nonadherence to Statin Medications: Survey of Patient Perspectives" in the Preventive Medicine Reports.
