Krista Harrison, PhD, published an "Action Guide for Addressing Ethical Challenges of Resource Allocation within Community-Based Healthcare Organizations" in the Journal of Clinical Ethics. This effort combines empirical data from her qualitative study on resource allocation and policy decisions in community organizations, experience as a leader within a community-based hospice, and analysis of theory-based ethics frameworks for resource allocation. The action guide aims to help leaders comprehensively consider the context, process, and criteria by which they make distributive justice decisions.
