Marlon Aliberti Publish Article in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society

Dr. Marlon Aliberti, former visiting scholar in the UCSF Division of Geriatrics from the University of Sao Paulo, along with Drs. Ken Covinsky, Sei Lee, Alexander Smith, and Kristine Yaffe published the article "Assessing Risk for Adverse Outcomes in Older Adults: The Need to Include Both Physical Frailty and Cognition" in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society. The presence of cognitive impairment without dementia adds substantially to measures of physical frailty in predicting functional decline and death among independent older adults. Important to assess both physical and cognitive frailty.
