Matthew Growdon awarded GEMMSTAR Award!

Congratulations Dr. Matthew Growdon on receiving a two-year NIH-funded Grants for Early Medical/Surgical Specialists' Transition to Aging Research (GEMSSTAR) Award!  The overall goal of the GEMSSTAR program is to provide support for early career physician-scientists trained in medical or surgical specialties and early career dentist-scientists to launch careers as future leaders in aging- or geriatric-focused research.  Dr. Growdon’s funded-study is entitled “Medication risks and challenges among people with dementia who live alone”.  The goal of this project is to characterize high-risk medication use (defined as medications with adverse cognitive effects and medications with a low tolerance of misuse) and medication management supports and challenges among people with dementia who live alone.  Congratulations Dr. Growdon!
