Welcome Dr. Robbie Zimbroff!
This week we are delighted to welcome Dr. Robbie Zimbroff to the UCSF Division of Geriatrics faculty. Dr. Zimbroff completed his UCSF Geriatric Medicine Fellowship this past June. He is joining our clinician educator faculty with a focus on home-based medical care. He will be the Assistant Medical Director of UCSF’s Care at Home Program, working closely with Dr. Rebecca Conant to oversee clinical operations, quality improvement and day-to-day program functions. He also will be providing longitudinal primary care for older adults who cannot leave their homes as well as teaching our Geriatric Medicine and Geriatric Palliative Care Fellows and other trainees who participate in UCSF Care at Home. Dr. Zimbroff has experience across the continuum of home-based medical care and has a special interest in hospital at home. To further his knowledge and networking in this area he will also become an Affiliated Scholar at Stanford University, working closely with their Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC) to develop additional research skills and connections for studying hospital at home initiatives. He envisions UCSF Care at Home becoming a preeminent hub for innovations in transitioning medical care to the home and improving care for older adults historically underserved by traditional, facility-based medical systems.
