Welcome Lilliana Lowe!
Please join us in welcoming Lilliana Lowe (Research Program Assistant) to our UCSF Division of Geriatrics!
Lilliana started this past Tuesday morning and will be working with Dr. Rebecca Sudore and her PREPARE Team on studies focused on improving healthcare communication and decision making in older persons. Lilliana graduated from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Neuroscience minor. She recently worked as a Lab Manager at the Learning and Memory Lab and a Teaching Assistant at USF. Lilliana has experience in participant recruitment and data analysis, planning and execution of research projects, as well as supervising undergraduate research assistants. She was also a Research Assistant at the Learning and Memory Lab before being promoted to Lab Manager. Outside of work, she also volunteered at the Institute on Aging - Friendship Line, the only accredited crisis line in the country for people aged 60 years and older, and adults living with disabilities, where she made on-going outreach calls to lonely older adults providing emotional support as well as information and referrals for isolated older adults, and adults living with disabilities. Finally, for her senior thesis in the Honors in Psychology Program at USF, Lilliana examined the differences in attitudes toward same-sex versus opposite-sex sexual coercion and how individual characteristics influence attitudes. As a Research Program Assistant for PREPARE, Lilliana will provide support on research operations and on a range of projects related to the team’s advance care planning research program and materials. Projects will include assisting with project planning, educational and research material development and review, advance care planning outreach and social media efforts. Lilliana will be working remotely, but can be reached at [email protected] if you need to get a hold of her, especially to welcome her to the Division! We are very excited to have her. Welcome Lilliana!
