Welcome Sarah Garrett!

Please welcome Dr. Sarah Garrett, Research Social Scientist, to the Division!

Sarah joined the Applied Clinical Research team and will be working closely with Drs. Krista Harrison and Christine Ritchie. The Applied Clinical Research team is a mixed-methods workgroup focused on initiatives focused on improving care in geriatrics and palliative care using methods including observational, qualitative, clinical trials, quality improvement, and training.

Sarah has a PhD in Sociology from UC Berkeley and 18 years of research experience. For the last 5 years, Sarah worked at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies at UCSF with Dr. Dan Dohan where she collaborated on an interdisciplinary social science team collecting, managing and analyzing qualitative and mixed-methods social science data, provided training and consulted in research methods, and directed large NIH and PCORI research projects.
