2023-2024 Geriatric Medicine and GeriPal Fellowship Class!

We are thrilled to introduce our incoming fellows for 2023-2024!  We matched all of our available slots with truly outstanding applicants.  Feel free to reach out to them individually to congratulate them!

A big shout out to the recruitment committee members and to those who met with our applicants outside of the formal recruitment days in this past interview season. We are grateful for your time and commitment.

Great many thanks to Elaine for arranging all of the interview dates and schedules and Paula for the last minute scheduling adjustments and preparation for the rank meeting. Without you two, this process would not have happened as smoothly as it did.

She is currently examining the social needs and stress of older adults during the COVID 19 pandemic, especially among the AAPI populations, and working on a multi-center research study to assess provider knowledge, attitudes, and practice regarding social factors that impact the health of older adults. She is interested in home-based primary care and quality improvement.

She has a long-standing passion in serving the underserved population, including student-run free clinics and the local Alzheimer’s Association. She has done work in Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors while in medical school. In residency, Stacy took the initiative in creating an inclusive language curriculum aimed to reduce bias in healthcare settings. Furthermore, her scholarly work focuses on the intersection of older adults and addiction medicine. On top of all of these, she is mentoring first generation medical students in UCSD. Stacy is interested in clinical leadership in settings that would allow her to continue her personal mission and to serve the population in the central valley in California.
