Ashwin Kotwal published paper in The Journal of Gerontology

Ashwin Kotwal, MD, MS published a paper entitled, "Social Isolation and Worsening Health Behaviors Among Older Adults During the COVID-19 Pandemic" in the Journals of Gerontology. The article found that social isolation among older adults during the pandemic was associated with them feeling like health behaviors had worsened (including alcohol use, reduced physical activity, and feeling less rested). Loneliness partially mediated this relationship.
