Drs. Wong, Walter, Smith, and Boscardin publish in JGO

Melisa Wong, MD, MAS, Louise Walter, MD, Alex Smith, MD, MPH, MS, John Boscardin, PhD, and others published their research, entitled, "Change in four measures of physical function among older adults during lung cancer treatment: A mixed methods cohort study" in the Journal of Geriatric Oncology. Their research found "functional decline is common among older adults with advanced NSCLC receiving systemic treatment with only a minority of patients recovering to their pretreatment baseline. When possible in research, function should be assessed with more than one measure to better capture the treatment experience through the patient's lens."
