Francesca Nicosia and Team Published Article in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society

Dr. Francesca Nicosia, along with Malena Spar and Drs. Michael Steinman, Sei Lee, and Rebecca Brown, published the article "Making Function Part of the Conversation: Clinician Perspectives on Measuring Functional Status in Primary Care" in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.  Although understanding function is central to the care and outcomes of older adults, it is seldom routinely measured in non-geriatrics primary care settings. In this article, Dr. Nicosia and colleagues explore the barriers and facilitators primary care clinicians face to measuring functional status among older adults.
